For Summer ’10 collection, we are back with our Collabo Art Series line. This time we have joined forces with Indonesian hottest rock & roll band The S.I.G.I.T. to produce a series of signature jeans.

The S.I.G.I.T.’s achievement as an indie label band has always been a breakthrough for Indonesian music industry. In 2005, NME described them as “Scorching, gonzo Zep Rock from our hot new Indonesian Friend”. In 2007 they signed to Australian Caveman! And released “Visible..” which distributed by Reverberation. They also toured across Australia. Last year, they even appeared at SXSW 2009 in Austin Texas and toured California after then.

The title for this Collabo Art Series is “Pot Meets Pop Denim x The S.I.G.I.T in ‘Black Summer’ edition”. The theme ‘Black Summer’ is our campaign toward today’s global warming issue. In this series, there are 4 signature jeans that represent each character from the S.I.G.I.T.’s personnel. Each signature jeans come in different cuttings and made by different black denim materials. The ‘Black Summer’ theme is also used for the color of all the detailing like buttons & rivets, patch, and lining pockets. Each signature jeans has their own graphics at the lining pocket and has different quotes at the inside label. The quotes are thoughts from each of The S.I.G.I.T.’s personnel toward this ‘Black Summer’ issue.

SHE EATS is a division of Orca Company’s women clothing line that always introduces up and coming designers from Indonesia in each of its collection. For this summer collection SHE EATS teamed up with PARD, a local label that constantly tries to adopt the variety of fabric designs that are unique to specific traditions in Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

PARD introduces contemporary approaches to the design and the treatment of patterns, colors and lines with the aim to take the traditional designs and motives to another level. The label tends to focus on a traditional fabric design from a particular region within the archipelago for each collection.

Monstore is a product of our own reflection. An image of human behavior, Monstore’s artworks are creative manifestations of the human life, telling their stories about their problems, their feelings, and the simple struggle of going through the motion of the daily life.
